Bill O’Reilly Attacks Hip Hop and Coach John Calipari Defends

In the middle of a press run for his new book, “Players First: Coaching From the Inside Out,” Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari had the wonderful opportunity of sitting down with the bastion of “unmitigated ire,” aka the “You Mad” guy – Bill O’Reilly.

Not taking the Cam’ron/Dame Dash route, Coach Kalipari was able to navigate through the muck of questions hurled at him by the pundit. With O’Reilly seeking to villainize rap and hip hop through his questioning, blaming it for the downfall of urban communities, the trap was set. Coach didn’t bite.

Calipari did well to circumvent O’Reilly’s intent and explain how his practices, execution, and development of Kentucky’s program seeks to combat immorality, discrimination, and to provide a foundation for these student-athletes to better themselves, their environments and their futures. Yeah O’Reilly, HOLD THAT!

Check out the video above and be on the lookout for Calipari’s “Players First: Coaching From the Inside Out,” available today.
