Earlier this week Mass Appeal stopped by Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club/ICECREAM showroom to check out the collections for next winter’s holiday season. We know, we know, it’s a little difficult to contextualize cold weather clothing in May but the stock over at BBC/ICECREAM warranted some consideration.
As usual, the BBC line chose to switch things up from the current season, building the new collection around the theme of exploration. Nordic argyles indicative of arctic expeditions hung next to pieces of gingham and camouflage (or gamo) for a juxtaposing but surprisingly stylish melding of the opposing fabrics. Pharrell’s fascination with the universe continues and a space odyssey print was given some floral treatment, for a new take on what has now become a BBC staple. Graphic t-shirts and some classics sweats rounded out BBC’s diverse collection.
The more graphic heavy of the two labels, ICECREAM featured a bold array of prints from a kaleidoscopic candy print to colorful chef checks and thick bands of bright stripes. Vibrant shades of purple, cobalt blue and hot pink hosted the ice-cream motif and illustrations on t-shirts and hoodies, with most of the skate centric collection finished in soft flexible cotton.
