Toronto-based jazz trio BadBadNotGood returns from a brief hiatus with a new original track entitled “Hedron.” The song is relatively trance-like, beginning with dream-like chords and hypnotizing strums of the guitar setting the mood, until the half-way mark when the drums of BBNG’s Alex Sowinski pick up the pace and give the track a newfound energy. Although BadBadNotGood first gained recognition for their jazz-infused covers of tracks like Gucci Mane’s “Lemonade” and TNGHT’s “Bugg’n,” their new track “Hedron” showcases the group’s competence for crafting creative original compositions.
