Australians Rip in “Melbourne Smorgasbord”
Put another shrimp on the barbie.
Similar to the global skateboarding mecca that is California, residents of Australia have the advantage and luxury of being able to skate year round thanks to some seriously blessed weather.
Melbourne is one of these Southern Hemisphere hubs, and their skaters prove the winter months— depending on when this video was filmed (I defer to The Simpsons)— haven’t prevented them practicing in skateboard.com.au’s “Melbourne Smorgasbord” video.
As the title indicates, viewers are treated to a variety of treats, ranging from lines of technical ledge tricks from Nike SB rider Shane O’Neil, as well as some massive spots (hit the 0:33 mark for an adrenaline-inducing trick). Phantogram’s “When I’m Small” drives the video, which also features skating from Andrew Brophy among others.
