Andy Warhol “Lost Then Found” Exhibition
A recent batch of lost photos snapped by British cameraman Steve Wood showcase Andy Warhol make their New York City debut via 345 Meatpacking gallery's upcoming "Lost Then Found" exhibition.
“In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes,” said Andy Warhol. Whether the artist really knew it or not, you can’t help but wonder about how telling his obsession with fame and celebrity culture would be when compared to today’s self-absorbed and self-projecting social media. A recent batch of lost photos snapped by British cameraman Steve Wood showcase the artist in ways that could easily pass for an Instagram “selfie” or “today’s outfit” pose. The 345 Meatpacking gallery (West 14th Street) down in New York City’s Meatpacking District is hosting an exhibition (Lost Then Found) of the images beginning Friday, May 3rd until Sunday, May 12th.
