Sydney, Australia’s pop flushed lyrical sonnets

Why we loved her at CMJ: Drawing comparisons to UK pop-star, Katy B, Elizabeth Rose exhibits incredible vocal range and has the ability to transcend genres. Her voice has all of the clarity and power of top pop singers but also fits perfectly with a R&B slow jam and deep house beats. The pint-sized singer had a packed schedule of shows all over New York this October. Regardless of the size of the room, Ms Rose’s personality and booming mezzo soprano voice electrified the crowd.
All I Need Is One:
“A friend of my sisters sung opera professionally and passed on the tip to me of sipping on pineapple juice before a performance a few years ago…so basically I tried it out when I was starting to gig and it really works! It coats your throat and allows you to sing through your range more smoothly. So I read up about it and pineapple juice is actually a natural anti-inflammatory so I have it on tour with me (in my rider too) every time because continuous shows can be demanding on your vocal chords….it works wonders!”
