The house that New York City skateboard legend Harold Hunter helped build (alongside Adrian Lopez), Rockstar Bearings, is under new management. Announced yesterday, June 17th, the company begins a new chapter in its legacy by appointing fellow New York City skateboard OG and scene leader, Alex Corporan (Supreme, Etnies, The Hundreds) as Vice President of Operations. With an impressive history of helping bring names and brands to life in East Coast skateboard culture, the move to bring Alex on was a “no-brainer” for Rockstar as they look to continue their presence in the culture while focusing on new art direction and positioning. Congratulations to Alex as he is now part-owner of the company and responsible for all aspects of daily operations.
Rockstar began in the Summer of 2000 when Harold Hunter approached then-ABC Skateshop owner Adrian Lopez-Guevarra about making a company together. Today, they are more than a decade deep and sponsor skaters from all over the world from New York City’s Rodney Torres to Brazil’s Leticia Bufoni.
