For his “100 Little Deaths” exhibition at Bravinlee programs gallery in Chelsea, NYC painter Tom Sanford drew 100 notable individuals who passed away in 2012. One of the Tom Sanford paintings that resonated most with us was this one of Beastie Boy Adam Yauch a.k.a MCA. The picture is a caricature of MCA that represents his love of basketball, Eastern philosophy, hip-hop and Bad Brains and of course the Beasties own record label and magazine.

Tom Sanford’s “100 Little Deaths” will be showing at Bravinlee programs until Feb. 9.
