007: Legends Preview To Leave Gamers Shaken & Stirred
With a new movie, and a revamped video game on deck, James Bond's 50th anniversary isn't ready for Depends quite yet.
Mum was the word Tuesday at the Flatotel where Mass Appeal was given a grand tour of the new James Bond game 007: Legends, scheduled for release in the second week of October, ahead of the 50th anniversary of the iconic franchise. The game will be available to the public two-to-three weeks before the release of the latest Bond film, Skyfall, which is due in November.
The graphics and story line of Legends, which uses elements from six epic Bond films won’t bore you. In fact, it has all the gadgets, guns, goons and gorgeous Bond girls we’ve come to associate with the legendary English spy, created by Ian Fleming.
We’re guessing From Russia With Love, Octopussy, GoldFinger, and Quantum of Solace are the other films included in the story which sees Bond (Daniel Craig, not Roger Moore), in a critical situation. Moonraker and Skyfall round out the rest.
You can hold us to Skyfall and Moonraker being in the game as we were told, and shown. Some scenes of Bond in action: Bond taking out baddies with his handgun, some gadgets, a chopper, confronting villains Jaws and Drax; and a space shuttle blasting into orbit—all from Moonraker. Scenes from Skyfall will be available as downloadable content once the film hits theaters.
Legends, published by Activision, will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
